How to Cook Sinampalukang Manok

Sinampalukang Manok or Chicken in Tamarind soup is a traditional Filipino soup or stew. It is tastes like Sinigang because of the sour soup, however it's not the variation of it as we used chicken and sauteed it in ginger, whereas in Sinigang you place all the ingredients simultaneously and brought to boil.

In this video i used natural ingredients, if you are in the Philippines you will easily get these ingredients, if you are in different country you can always use tamarind paste instead of fresh tamarind which you can buy in the supermarket.

Ingredients:
1 kg of mixed chicken wings and thighs
1 bowl Fresh tamarind
1 Ginger
4 cloves of garlic
2 medium onions
2 tomatoes
4 branches of lemon grass
1 bundle of string beans
3 tbsp of fish sauce
Gabi or taro
1 bundle of Kangkong or river spinach
Tamarind flower buds (optional)
5 pcs of green chili

Serve it hot with freshly cooked white rice.

Enjoy watching & happy cooking!
